The odd part of this third version of this 1st series box is further ahead of the tailgate area. Good try though.
That is the correct wood layout for the three 1st series beds as well as the early 2nd series bed. It was not until the late 2nd series bed that they changed the rear sill so that the ends of the wood were not exposed. See the two images take from inside the beds that I attached to above posts.
