The three piece wheels are not the "widow makers". They are a rim(center with lug holes and a rim with one bead just like split-ring rims that come on PW. Instead of a split ring for the outer bead, it is a solid ring, and then a split ring with square cross-section that locks this outer bead onto the main rim, thus the three pieces.
The Firestones I currently have are the widow makers. These are the true split rims. A back half of the rim(with center) and a front half of the rim that index and spin to lock together. The set I have are not the PW pattern, they are "5 on 8" like what came on the 2 ton Dodges that had 5 lug wheels.
