Matt, there's quite a few locking methods these days that all seem to work OK, I haven't seen a failure for maybe 40 years now. If memory serves the last one I saw was on a speedway chev engine and we put it down to a faulty nut. I think as long as the bolts, nuts, locking device are all in new condition, it should be good.
