Well put Jonas.
I have all the parts needed to cosmetically restore my '48. Fenders, running boards and so on. Electro mechanicals were done 6 years ago. Five years ago I threatened to tear it down for the resurrection ground up. Today it's sitting in my garage, still ratty, over new oil dri, sporting a new ding on the box and a slightly bent frame extension from pulling a big glacial drop boulder with the tow hook. It's filled over the cab with yard waste waiting for the dump to open at 8 on Saturday. Then it's off to my brothers landscape business to fill it and the trailer with about 5 yards of shredded bark. After that, a 50 mile mercy mission to pick up a 454 for a buddy's street rod project. Sunday it's off to the gun club to tow another 20x20 garage to a different locat1on on the grounds.
Think I'll just rest the right leg against the winch lever, add a quart of 20w50, grab a coffee, put the ear plugs in, drive 41 mph, and leave the bungee cord wrapped around the T case levers for a couple more years. Maybe even adjust the brakes and park it in the rain for that free wash if I'm ambitious.
