Whistling noise after a driving my truck for a while

After driving my truck for a bit it starts making a whistling noise at red lights when the clutch is pushed is as i accelerate the noise goes away. I think it might be the clutch? What are your thoughts? also seems like its when the temp on the truck is on the warm side. The gauge reads far right on the hot side theres a rectangle between hot and cold and the needle is on the very far right edge of the rectangle. Is this overheating? i checked the cooolant and its full. Maybe the thermostat is too hot?
