Here's my take...that door is easy to fix. Problem is, that door is very difficult to fix if you want it perfect with no filler in it. I'm betting that whole door is skinned with bondo & so really, the only proper fix is to remove the whole door skin & rework the whole skin.
Sure...you can bash most of it out...pry & heat/shrink & make the filler thinner & better than it is...but why? You're doing a $25k restoration...why not pay the $100 it'll cost for a nice rust free, dent free original paint door?
That one you have there...let someone use it on their $6000 bush truck.
That's my $.02.
I'm betting a perfect door is cheaper than fixing that unless you can do the whole thing yourself & are happy with results that will be far from a perfect door.
