OT: silicone brake fluid change over ???

One nephew just bought a M1028 Chevvy CUCV. Pedal is soft, I though we would bleed it. But one side of reservoir is cloudy, both sides are a but sludgey. I had expected a sticker re: brake fluid type, but I guess not. But the manual say 'silicone all weather brake fluid".

Question is can I flush it with Dot3/4? Or do I need to flush with dot-5? I recollect that either works with the rubbery components, but not to mix them? Or is it just a matter of the mix is not better than dot 3, lacking the advantage of the silicone?
