Hi Jim,
Rebuilding a carb is more about cleaning the inside of the carb than replacing gaskets. All of the tiny passages etc must be clean. Sometimes a carb is just worn out and wont function even after a thorough cleaning and a carb kit. I recently went through this on my M37. Get a carb cleaneing kit, it is a gallon can with a cleaning solution and a wire basket. Soak your parts in it for a while, then spray carb cleaner into all of the passeges, from both directions when possible. It really does not take much to plug or resrict one. Above all, be very meticulous with cleanliness and orginisation taking it apart. make notes about where pieces came from. Be very careful about small check balls rolling out and across the floor! (dont ask me how I know that!)
Dave Langford had an issue with the accellerator pump in the kit being wrong, perhaps he will chime in with his fix for that.
Tim
