I am not knocking your truck by any means. I am just saying that if one wants a 100% original truck, as delivered from the factory, then the 318 engine would not be correct. At least I am not aware that you could order a 58 with a 318 from the factory.
Yes, My truck had a 360. I did a number of modifications to make it an easier to drive, and easier to maintain vehicle. I added hanging pedals so it was easy to add power brakes, I added power steering, and, I installed a 360 for easy parts availability.
By the way, If I was in the market for another 58, I would be trying to buy yours. It is a nice truck for sure.
