WC, just plain WC, is a 41-47 1/2 ton 2wd truck.

VC, just plain VC, is a 1940 1/2 ton 2wd truck.

A WC-26 is a WWII 1/2 ton 4wd Carryall, a VC-1 is a pre WWII 1/2 ton 4wd Command Car, etc, etc.

All the standard 2wd stuff has an oval door tag like a 46-56 PW, the military stuff has a square tag on the glove box door.

Like I said, if you found a 4wd chassis with a single speed transfercase, and a 2wd body on it, you need to check the frame rail number.

I hope my information was clear, Dodge made things a bit muddled when they mixed model names, etc.

Eric
