You are right about my not paying attention until I was reading these posts and got curious about the kids car. The car has two bolt valve covers mounted in the center of the cover (a Chrysler built-to-leak feature) but dont have the zig-zag feature of the lower edge of the head/valve cover that would indicate its a poly. So we must have the wedge 318 or the LA. We always heard it referred to as a "big-block 318". We havent had much trouble getting parts and she's fast after a rebuild a few years ago-if it had more than 2-gears it would be even better! Looks too big to wedge into my FF!
