I have been getting the same results with spy-subtract. I can only assume it is either a better search engine or that the ad-subtract free version is not using the lastest database that would be available if you sent in the money to become a registered user.

If you log on to the forum tomorrow, you can tell which posts you read already. They show up as a different color. This is possible because of internet (or Browser) cache. The cache keeps "memorised pictures" of the sites you have visited lately. You change this "picture" every time you hit the refresh icon at top of the page.

The Browser History can be seen if you start to type web address into the top address bar and it will try and guess the address you are typing. Most teenage boys learn to manually clear this out using the "tools - internet options" portion of the toolbar. This prevents the parents from easily finding out when they have been on a no-no website.

If you clear these two options out often(like I do), you will not be saving much in space The main reason to do it is just keep anyone else from tracking your web habits. The spyware you found on your computer was probably using these options for reporting (selling) your web habits to some marketing company so they can design advertising to send to you via mail or email or pop up add, telemarketing, or other. I am not ashamed of where I surf. I just don't think its anybody's business but my own. The only downside to clearing these two out is that when you first go to log onto this web site, you will either have to type www.dodgepowerwagon.com or click on the site in your favorites menu. It will not automatically assume this site when you start typing. This changes after the first time you revisit the site and it will be back in you browser history until the next time you clear it out. Hope this makes sense.

Best Wishes
Lonnie
