Subject:   Big ex military truck for sale, $500, not mine.

Message:   I was on 101 today and I noticed what I thought was a WWII power wagon for sale. So, naturally, I pulled off the freeway and drove back to get a better look.

I don't think it was, the grill didn't look right. I honestly don't know what it was, but it was certainly was an ex military truck. I only spent a few minutes looking at it, but it seemed to be in very good conditioin, didn't notice any rust. I don't know what it was, but it would be very esay for me to get more info if anyone is looking for something like this. (There was a phone number on it and I drive past it all the time).

If I can remember all the details, its about the size of an F700, pintel hook on the back, two sets of dual rear drive wheels, just has the rails (no bed). The cab kinda reminded me of a VW thing (except a lot bigger). I think the windshield folded down like the VW (wouldn't swear to it) and it didn't have a hard top. Metal dash with placards saying stuff like the max speed in the different gears (max speed on there was 60), and to use the winch in conjunction with the drive wheels, put the transfer case, tranny and one other thing that I can't remember in low gear. The gear pattern put Reverse in the upper left. Don't remember much else except it had a blackout headlight on it.

Like I said, I couldn't figure out what it was, but then I only had a few minutes to look. Didn't have a plate on the driver side door jam. But if anyone wants more info, I can get it without any trouble. It is located about 1.2 hour N. of San Luis Obispo, Ca.
