Is the distributor 180 degrees off? Pull the #1 spark plug, move the #1 piston to top dead center ON THE COMPRESSION STROKE (put your finger on the spark plug hole while turning the engine). Then pull off the distributor cap and make sure the rotor is pointing to where the #1 is on the distributor cap. You need to make sure the distributor is firing on the compression stroke.
