The guts are the same, BUT, the Bellhouse cast into the case is different. Totally different IHC Boltpattern. There was a commercially availible adapter plate made to put a Mopar 727 to a IHC engine. You can swap internals tho. Now to confuse things farther, How about a AMC 727? Yea, a Mopar 727 as well, but yet, another diffent bolt pattern.
