Behind the cab winch

I have a 1960 WM 300 and thinking about doing a rebuild. Was wondering how rareand also how a winch would be driven behind the cab on a flatbed truck? Does anyone have any available? I saw just such a truck at the Fairfield rally two years ago, the Power Wagon had which appeared a winch on its flatbedwith dual capstans on both ends of the winch. The truck was blue but it was being pulled out of town apparently heading home to some far away destination.It was on the Saturday of the annualparade and my only oppurtunity to investigate the truck was as it passed by on its way home.
