Ok - I looked in a 1964 Dodge Manual, and the premium \6 (225-2) came in the W300 and the 400/500 series trucks, but not in the D or P 300s.
In my experince, the D300 also used the fine spline NP420/435s, shared with the 100/200s.
The W300s and a larger carry the course spline, bigger diameter input shaft, each type fine/course is 10 spline. The course input is also the same size as a Clark 280VO, I have found out also.
