I have not installed mine yet. I have never torn down a differential. Bob Stahl show me a clamp and wrench(spanner) with a 8 foot handle he made. He told me there is a large nut torqued to 1200 foot pounds that must be pulled. I have nothing to hold or turn anything like that. So I will probably have Bob install mine, unless I can find someone closer to me to save that long ride.
However, I have read posts on this forum of others that have changed the ring and pinion and claim it was not a bad job.
