In 1970 I was living in Brooklyn, NY, commuting everyday to Manhattan via the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Right near the Brooklyn Bridge, the highway is elevated a good 100 feet above sea level. The piers were visible, along with the ships that were being loaded. One large area was absolutely filled with row upon row of red Power wagons. I attempted to enter the area, or at least find out what was going on. All I could find out was that these trucks were headed to Saudi Arabia. I called Chrysler Corp. and was told, essentially, "get lost, kid." One day, they were all gone. I still remember those PW's and wish I'd had the balls to pursue it a little further.
