These are the 20" wheels I've been determined to build for Wilbur. I guess I don't recommend this...it's a TON of work. I'm just sandblasting & painting them today, but I bet I have 60 hours into these rims just in machining, fitting, welding & grinding. Actually, the worst part was that two of the rims were riveted instead of welded. I was almost going to go look for 3 more riveted rims, thinking they'd be easier to grind off the rivets than to air arc the centers off the welded rims since they were 100% continuous welded & rims aren't the funnest things to be air arcing on.(lots of molten metal down your pants & the back of your neck). After grinding the rivets & spending nearly 2 hours per rim to pound the rivets out using a punch & a 10lb hammer, I decided I'd stick with the welded rims!
I'll let the pictures do the explaining, but lets just say that these rims are now worth a lot of money!Ha Ha!
Mike...I know I know..the DOT would not be impressed, but once I paint them they'll never know!
