way, Way, WAY, WA-A-A-A-A-Y out of line, i.e. if you compare to what you can do it for by yourself!

One gallon auto paint stripper - $30
Metal Prep - $12
Rust Sealer (if you want to permanently protect the metal) - $30
Primer (price varies on product) - not much
Paint (same) - $30/120 gallon
Turbine sprayer (new) $400/600, i.e., if you want to buy one
OR
(1) find a furniture refinisher who can spray paint, (2) check local technical school, (3) find manufacturer who sprays paint on his product and see if an employee wants to pick up $100, (4) get another price from someone else.

About two-thirds of any price a body shop gives you is for removing paint and preping the metal. You can do that yourself for less than $50.
