Rings vs valve guides vs ventilation- oil rings can wear, letting oil past while compression rings retain good pressure- even better due to excess oil making a better seal. (basicaly, even 'dry' you are doing a 'wet' compression test) Valve guides usually smoke worse at high vaccuum, like idling while in line at Mickey Dee's or engine braking down a hill. Plugged ventilation system would make it smoke worse under full load, when more blow-by pressurises the crankcase- usually has bad oil leaks too. Vaccuum wiper pump can go bad, pumping oil into the intake, even when wipers are off.

I'd start with the vaccuum pump, then the ventilation system, then consider moving to a fruit fly quarantine area, wher you can put the smoke to good use.
