Terry,
That's no solution, in fact you end up with more redundancy over there not more. Not only are there multiple identical answers over there for each thread, there are multiple threads asking the same thing. There is less continuity with that format not more. With the format here you can see every post at one glance, with the format there you have to click on every thread first to see the posts, it is stupid. Thanks for reminding me of that post from a few years back, in fact if YOU reread my post you will see that it makes my point exactly, contrary to making your point.
["Hi Scott,
If you read the majority of the posts in this catagory, you will see that about half of the users think the format is already too split up to provide continuity. If you want to see what the format used to be like, and see how a continuity of posts works more like a conversation, AND promotes a little more "family" atmosphere, go to the Sweptline.org link at the bottom of my post here.
Lastly, this web page business is a lot of work and we should thank Kris for taking the time, at little reward, to do this for us."]
However NONE of that old post of mine addresses my concerns here with the question I asked yesterday, which is, why aren't we READING the frigging answers BEFORE we post so that it eliminates posting the identical answer??? The format at Kris' forum doesn't prevent that, you can find multiple answers to the same question over there also, so it is not a case of form, it is a matter of function.
And....., while I'm at it, thank you Joe for all the work that you do here to provide the very best format on the web!
