...to your log book. Then it is so gol' dern cold and you have to keep your heat on to not freeze thereby powered by your engine. So you have to go the the truck stop, beyond your log book hours to not get an idleing ticket, but then you get a hour violation ticket. Bah! Whenever I drove my Pete, I ALWAYS wished some stupid 4-wheelers could have the opportunity to ride with a big truck. They would change a lot of bad driving habits. Not saying all truckers are perfect, but is is something like 85% of trucking accidents are the fault of the 4-wheeler. I used to get off the freeway to get to my lot. My lowboy was 51' long and overall length with my tractor was 72' long. Turning left off the freeway into a tight bridge area, people would see me at the light ready to turn left and YET they would stop all the way forward. I mean, I wasn't hard to see. I was in front waiting to turn. A BIG TRUCK! Light turns green, I would swing wide as possible and see how close I could get my trailer to their front bumper without hitting it, then I would stop. No choice.
