I do not see any pictures to check out.
There was no conventional cab W300 in 1957, though it is possible Dodge built one or two (SEG at work) it is unlikely.
83703501 is the starting serial number for a 57 D600, which is possibly what you have, 2 ton 2wd.
My only problem with that is that your number is 83705586, and I am not sure 2,000 D600s were made in 57, as I do not have production numbers on that size truck. It sounds likely though as many bigger trucks were needed, and that serial number also works for S600s and DL600s.
All of these are 2wd trucks, and have nothing but the front fenders, and other sheetmetal in common with the W100-W200 trucks.
IS your truck Four Wheel Drive???
Does it look original?
Then maybe you have a 4wd conversion, they are out there, I know of a couple.
Let me know, and I will try and help you figure out what you have.
