Thanks for all that great info. Whats happening is I am looking at buying a 77-78 he dosent know which. What he has told me is that it was a Gov fire truck and is 1.5 ton(dont know where he got that) Ive seen some pics and its single wheel how could it be 1.5 ton? He also said that he cant get it to fire (V8), I was wondering about the axles because if all else fails strip and sell the 4x4 and scrap the rest. Thanks again, you guys always amaze me at how friendly yall are.
