International has always built a very heavy duty, no bones about it type of product, be it a truck, Scout, Farm Tractor, Plow, stationary engine or what have you. IH is in all respects a very respectable product. They rank right up there with the pre-72 Dodge trucks. Dodge is just a hair higher on my list, but if there was no such thing as Dodge, IH would be king! I learned to drive on a IH, and have had 2 Scouts, one IHC pickup and have had 4 IHC tractors. (Currently have a 1940 Farmall H that has never had engine rebuilt. Still runs!) that says alot too. As a matter of fact, I have a '73 IHC 1210 (3/4 ton) coming up from Arkansas soon, that coupled to my tri axle trailer will make a good PW hauler for long trips when I feel like going faster (but not much faster) than 45!
