Yes, I really wonder why my truck was built with the 8.25, but it is factory according to the options and paperwork with the truck. All other trucks, ramchargers, etc I've seen of this vintage were 9.25. Gear ratios are essentially the same choices, so that does not make much difference. Given that mine was heavily optioned, including the 440, I don't know why it's got the 8.25. Maybe it was ordered that way for some reason?
