Hi,

The factory built trucks this way, I've got a '78 Trailduster with factory 440. The 727 is very reliable and bulletproof, provided you keep it cool (auxillary tranny cooler).

You'll need mounts, exhaust manifolds, different automatic trans (or bellhousing if manual), different oil pan, careful on the vintage of the big block as there were many changes to the accessories (ie water pump housing inlet switched sides, bosses drilled and tapped on later motors that don't exist on earlier motors).
