FWIW, I have had Fred C. Dodge, a 1942 WC-54 for close to two years. When I got him, I had NAPA do their 78 point inspection and they flushed the brake system, how I don't know, and replaced the two front wheel cylinders and filled it with DOT 5. I have put about 1100 miles on him, all local stop and start driving, hauling this and that, in an urban/suburban setting (until I moved out here to the country). No troubles at all with the brakes, leaking, bleeding, etc. If something fails, this forum will be about the third or fourth to know, after my wife, the insurance company, and the unlucky sunnuvagun who gets to see Fred's bumper up close....
