Chris This was the short shaft between the transmission and the transfercase. I have been in the situation you describe and have limped home on the front driveshaft. But in this case we were dead in the water,but thankfully she wasn't in traffic or we out in BFE on a trail some where. Take care and watch out for the gravity.... if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off. later Ron
