A Power-Wagon would probably handle a mid size batwing mower fairly well as long as you keep the blades sharp and don't let the weeds get too high. I messed up once and waited until the weeds were at about radiator cap level. I had to chop the rolled up weeds away from the trucks PTO shaft with a hatchet. I did not know I was wrapping up weeds until the truck ground to a halt.

I found that low range and first gear worked the best. The amount of throttle didn't make much difference as both ground speed and mower RPM changed proportionally. 9.00x16 tires and 5.83 gearing worked better than 9.00x16 tires and 4.89 gearing. 7.50x 16 tires would have been even better.
