I used to use my WDX to pull and power a trail behind agricultural mower. I mowed a pasture of mine with it which happened to be the adjacent property next to my folk's house. On one such occasion, I had topped off the fuel tank at the local filling station, and had driven the 1/2 mile to the pasture. I started mowing, and had made about 3 rounds of the pasture, when my Mom came out of the house and flagged me down. The pasture is on a really steep hillside, and it seems that when I was traversing the hill sideways, gasoline was gushing out of my filler neck when on the downhill side. I had forgotten to put the fuel cap back on. I drove back to the filling station to see if I had left the cap on the top of the gas pump. I could not find it there nor on the road to and from the pasture. I then retraced my route in the pasture, by driving around it a couple of times, and still found no gas cap. I finally found it still sitting on the crown of my rear fender. It had been there the whole time!

I could't do that again if I tried.
