I have the same problem with my Bombardier.
I want to put a hydraulic snow blower on it for next winter. But Keeping the engine R's high enough for good hydraulic performance and still going slow enough is a problem. It has a 3 speed New Process Tranny. I am considering swapping trannies and installing a hydroststic tranny. This wont help you with your PW, but mabey some will have a good answer for yu that will also apply to my application.
