I've known Doug from the time he first came to the forum. He did not know a Power Wagon from yellow snow. Where ever I could I would help him out with his lack of knowledge with no criticism. Before he moved to Colorado he was thinking of moving to central California. I told him that he should move to Colorado just so as I would have a better chance at our local trucks. With some money and that big hauling truck and low bed trailer the best chance I had was his long haul to Colorado. He started sucking up all the PW's he could find in this area and moving them to Colorado to make "his" stake in this niche. All the power to him for his effort. No matter. I know where there are more trucks than he can handle. The way I see it his efforts are bringing them out to those who are seeking and the market is set by those who produce.
Doug set himself to where he is at and he has grown into his own britches and can defend himself. I consider him a friend and Power Wagon coconspirator and I know he feels the same.
Let the thread go the way of a civil and mannered discussion. A couple of forums ago Glen Reid got his clams dragged all over the place for bringing up a very legitimate topic and the PC hand did not lift a finger of protection. Turns out he did not need it and a credit to him for it.
A forum is discussion. Absolutely "civil" and and with "manners" but these trucks are not wimps and neither are we.
