In fairness to Dave, he is selling these beds at less or equal to comparable prices of the other major vendors. Frankly, I cannot see how he has managed to keep the price where it is at and I commend him for that. This project envolves a lot of work and a lot of time and effort. It sounds like you got a great deal on your truck, the reality is that time marches on and costs continue to go up.
I don't consider my truck a show truck or the amount spent on it to keep it running safely and not look like a pile of junk extreme. Look at the price of a new, inferior brand truck like gm or ferd and you'll see that these trucks are a bargain at nearly any price, and THAT is relative!
