There is a country western song called "It was 1980 something". Anyhow it mentions the space shuttle falling out of the sky. He asked me if there would be a song about the 2003 disaster. It really made me think. Has it really been that long since the Columbia exploded on take off? I proceeded to tell him that these disasters stick in our minds forever but sometimes seem like yesterday. He told me that he wants them to keep trying so when the sun burns out we can move on to another planet. He was not kidding - and I just gave him a hug.
