There was a surplus company putting SD-33 Nissan Diesel in M37's in the '70's. They made adapter plates to use the original drive train including the transmission. I think they're a little longer than a 230, I don't know about a 251. Low torque, high revs, decent longevity. Back it with a stick shift, that 727 is sucking over 40 HP by itself. I believe they came with SAE #2 bellhousings.
