The alternator on my 66 W-100 is putting
out a charge, but after about 30 seconds it
starts a high pitch wine, if you disconnect
the pos. battery cable the noise stops, and
the alt. will butt out enough to run lights
fan motor, wipers and so on, but as soon as
you hook the battery back up it starts to
wine after a few seconds. Is the problem the
regulator letting the alt. get to much voltage? any thing else it could be?
