A let a friend drive my M37 once. He'd driven it before I owned it, off-road (after a couple of beers) and didn't have a problem then. Well, when he tried to drive it on-road (sober) he couldn't shift the damn thing. All of a sudden my 6'5" friend with a 36" or better inseam couldn't pick his leg up high enough to let the clutch engage. He ended up opening the driver door every shift! This did not last long, we were going about 100 miles, ended up flat-towing the M37 behind my 300 I-6 powered F-150 4X4.

And then there is my driving: I'm 6'2" but my legs aren't anywhere near as long as his, so I didn't have any problems with my knee getting wedged between the steering wheel and door like my friend. My problem is I'm really tall in the seat, and if I sat up straight in the driver's seat all that's in front of me is a large wiper motor. In the passenger seat, I look OVER the windshield to see the road since the passenger seat is higher. Part of my problem might have been the fact that somebody had recovered the seat with vinyl over foam over the original OD cloth and springs, but I don't know how much that added to the problem.
