Gasket for fuel bowl on Mechnical Fuel Pump

I need to replace the cork gasket for the fuel bowl on my fuel pump. It's a mechnical pump on a 218 engine. Yes I have already checked the PIF. There is a gasket mentioned there with what I thought is a NAPA part number, number 773. When I went to NAPA that number doesn't match with a gasket. Couple of questions. First, I have access to some Gar-Lock Blue Guard gasket material or does this gasket have to be made out of cork material? Second, If it needs to be made out of cork material, NAPA has small sheets of cork material that has a rubber backing. Will this stuff work or will the gas eat away the rubber backing? Robert
