Has anyone ever seen an underhood air compressor on a 230? This is a single cylinder compressor that is engine coolant cooled/heated. I am guessing that it came from an old truck with air brakes (probably along with the rest of the air over hydraulic brakes on this truck). There is an air tank under the driver-seat on the frame and an air chuck by the driver's door. It is really a pretty neat setup. It has been on the truck since before 1976.

From last forum:

Well, it looks like I just bought a WC-54. I have two questions. First of all, will warn hubs off of the 54 fit my 59 W300M? Second of all, the truck has air over hydraulic brakes and has an underhood air system. I really want to use the compressor on my W300M and in order to do so will need to change the brakes back to manual on the WC-54. Which trucks have the same brake components (pedal, master cylinder, etc.) as the 54? Since I really bought the truck for the cool underhood compressor and hubs, if any one wants a nice running ambulance, I can help you out.

Thanks for the tips,
Dan
