Hi Mike,
1967 (late) to the early 80's. However if you get lucky you might find a 318 Poly, 1957 to 1966. The Poly is a V-8 derived from the Hemi. It shares most bottom end parts with the 318LA, but the 318 Poly has more torque, horsepower and mileage in stock form than the 318LA. Early conventional cab Power Wagons (Sweptline and Power Giant W100-W200-W300) had this engine and many are still on the road today. The downside is the availability of "hot rod" parts, but the 318 Poly parts can be found out there, many as New Old Stock, and some still carried by MoparPerformance for the 318LA, which fit the 318 Poly. Both will bolt up to a NP420. Once you have heard a Poly run, you'll want no other V-8 in your truck.
