when they have problems with non franchised makes they send them down the street to the franchised dealer and get it fixed. more cost effective than having tech(s) dink around when he/they could be making money working on cars they have been trained on and have the special tools & shop manual/online resources to find & fix the problems.
the dealerships I work for ALL send these types of problems out as all used car recon work is done in the shop by line techs rather than "used car mechanics"
or just send it to the auction and let some other dealer deal with it
