What Code do you have? If it is a #7 cylinder misfire code, check the coil for that cylinder, and also check the spark plug for carbon tracking causing the spark to jump to ground. When the MIL light(check engine )illuminates, it is because something is out of the preset parameters for proper emissions, and the system goes into "limp mode".When this happens, the system resorts to it's "adaptive strategy" and "assumes" certain things based on what the other sensors are telling it. So the injectors do not inject fuel sequentially anymore. That's why it seems the injectors are not firing in time. How did you check this?nAnyways, why are you messing with it? It has emission warrenty on it so have him/her take it back to the dealer. Or is it over mileage on warrenty? In Canada here, Emission warrenty is 8 years or 130,000 km
