The first chain hoist I bought, I thought I'd go to the real industrial supply place and get a good American hoist instead of the chinese ones they sell for $50 at Tool Town, Harbor Freight, etc. I paid something like $150, got a box that said Ingersoll-Rand on it, all English writing on the box. Took it home, opened it up and inside there's another box with Chinese all over it and an "inspection certificate" signed in Chinese. Inside that is a hoist that looks exactly like the ones at the cheap tool places except it's a different color and has an "Ingersoll-Rand" sticker on the side of it. I'm still using it, and using it hard, and it's held up fine, but I feel like I kind of got took. Should have taken it back right away. Since then I've bought two Chinese hoists from Harbor Freight and they've held up fine, and I've got two giant ancient US ones (one's Yale & Towne, the other I don't remember) but they're so heavy I never use them.

I seriously wonder if an Ingersoll-Rand impact wrench is any different from a Chicago Pneumatic one once you get past the sticker.
