About 4am on New Years Day several years ago, I got a call from a young friend from his cell phone. He and several buddies were busting snow drifts on top of White Mountain just out of Rock Springs, WY and all were stuck in their Chevies. I fired up the old '49 Power Wagon and drove right to them, winched 2 Chevies out of one place. In the mean time, another of their friends tried to get to them to help and got himself stuck in the bottom of a steep canyon. I had to chain up to drive within winching distance of him and proceeded to winch him back up the draw. Just as I was finishing this winch session, the County Search & Rescue bunch arrive looking for another Chevy Blazer. They could see it, but couldn't get within 1/2 mile of it. I drove right to it with the chained up Power Wagon and winched it out easily. This was all before 9am. That same afternoon, I got a call to tow a broken down Ford pickup. This may an all time record for a day - 4 Chevies and 1 Ford rescued.
