Does anyone else catch a lot of flack from friends and family about your "old junk" truck? I constantly get flack about my old 74 D200. How its beat up and old and ugly and junky and so forth yet who's phone rings when severe duty is needed? I promptly reminded my future wife what truck takes her to work or the store in the snowy bad weather! My friend 3 words later made a comment and I promptly mentioned hauling 6000lbs of shingles to his house for him because his truck wouldnt do it! Just last weekend I caught flack from another friends wife about how I should just get rid of that junk old truck and drive my good truck (95 Ram) because last weekend it was broke down due to the 3rd reman starter from a parts store going bad on me in a short time. I seem to remember a year ago an old junk truck going to the sand and gravel place for a scoop of fill dirt for her yard because the hubbys truck wouldnt cut it!
My old truck just never gets any respect! ;)
Anyone else have this problem?
I got my starter back today from a bench rebuild (like I shoulda done in the first place!) and got my old junk truck running and it was nice to drive it around tonight!
Wonder when the phone will ring........
