It should not be necessary to come up with any "rules" or protocol regarding what should and should not be posted on the forum. However, we all could contribute to the band-space issue by individually considering the value of the content before making posts. Is the information about to be posted contributing to the overall good of the forum? Could the information about to be posted be better communicated through email to the intended recipient? Could items for sale be just as easily posted in the free classifieds directly linked as part of this site? Could questions be answered by the information already available through the links on this site?
This is not intended to point fingers or step on toes, but when the forum pages fill up so quickly that there need to be new posts on the current page just to repeat or reference recent posts from the last page, we need to think of what we can do to keep up the quality of this fine venue of communication.
