Dave Butler, of Vintage Power Wagons, told me that he has found Dodge sometimes made things of brass, even though they were usually mmade of cast iron. He apparently has seen a variety of brackets and mounts made of brass. No understandable pattern with regard to when or why. That probably explains your pieces, unless an amateur foundry person made them.
